yeah..the film that made Spielberg what he is now.. bt a bit too boring when u see it now. though...

The story is that... Since they didnt have a big budget & no CGI in those days..they had made a a rubber shark..but when they tried to film with it..the rubber dummy had luked so fake that Speilberg was in dispair..

Then they decided not to show the shark much & try 2 make the suspense in different ways ... Like the Ominous Music+camera's view point as the shark, ect...

and It worked..

Well about the cloverfield...they tried to originate a hollywood monster for godzilla. They tried to combine everything in to this creature. The creature godzilla had specific need(Breeding). Thats y it comes out from the sea. But cloverfield is some unpredictable creature.
