Reigning champion Dilantha Malagamuwa produced a breathtaking drive yesterday at the Sepang Formula One circuit yesterday to clinch the latest round of the Malaysian Super car series.
Having trailed championship leader Wira Dani Daim of Malaysia and Tan Ian-Mao of Singapore till the eighth lap of the race, Malagamuwa overtook the leader with the brilliant manoeuvre to clinch the race and close the gap at the points table with Daim.
Malagamuwa with this victory collected a total of 32 points to have an aggregate of 83 points after Sunday’s races. He is now just 12 points behind leader Daim who managed only 20 point from two races yesterday.
