Absolutely No Idea..!!
You are looking to buy an Intel Chip is it?? I think There is a big price difference btw Pentium D and Core 2 Duo's.... So check out newegg.com to get a rough idea about the prices they may vary here in SL but not by big margin

Bt one mo question......
I cant go for a Core 2 processor... Coz itz too expensive for my budget....
So i think itz betr to go for a Dual Core...
But Do u knw the maximum speed of it... I mean are there dual core processors higher than 3Ghz?

I have a Intel Pentium D 820 processor which runs at 2.8 GHz... it's from the first set of dual core processors released by Intel.. this series has processors upto 3.6 GHz.... But I am not sure whether they available in Sri Lanka.... You better ask Anusha Aiya about the prices in and the availability of those in SL

Don't waste ur money with HT procs (I mean now).Go for at least a dual core
But since u r on low-budget u can buy Intel pentium 631 (HT) for about 8~9K:yes:

If he's only planning to buy the MOBO and the Chip he can go for a Pentium D... I got my Pentium D 820 @ 2.8GHz + Intel 945GCCR Mobo for 22,000:D :D
