Political circles close to the LTTE in London state that LTTE's
intelligence head Pottu escaped an assassination attempt in
Skandapuram in the LTTE controlled Vanni area few days before the
alleged bombing of children trained by the LTTE in Vanni.
The vehicle in which he travelled exploded after he got out to meet
someone. It is believed internal descent within the LTTE ranks was the
cause of the assassination attempt.
The incident is said have caused shivers within the LTTE hierarchy.
