some of other nationalities may think he is a racist or something. no, he is not. what he is saying is...he is blaming to sinhalese. cuz of the way they doing. he is taking other nationalities as a example. thats all.

i thought to say this i saw same post in a forum and some one called he is a racist. thats why.

yeah.....this is no offense for other nationalities.........he's blaming Sinhalese here for their weaknesses............

But wat makes others think its offensive if use of words such as "themala" "thambiya" "marakkalaya" etc etc..i dont see any purpose in using such type of language.... isnt there better ways to educate public? i mean better use of language..

it was in 1926. it is bit harsh. but he may used those word those time it is not much bad or thats the way they used to talk.

we have a written history of more than 2500 years, sinhala was a well developed language even by 1800's.i dont think even in lowest levels they used this sorta language even 1920's...when anyone reads it what clearly can be seen is the expression of anger and a language use that supports it.

my opinion is you cannot get people into proper path unless you use correct methods to do so.although i respect his stand, i'm not sure his method was the best..
