    after you reset the network settings you can reconfigure the settings,
    but before you do,this access point you are referring is it yours or your neighbor's? I feel like access control for facebook is active. btw can you access facebook via laptop/desktop?

    well as i told before.. I Plugged my Nokia 5800 to my desktop and connected via airtel broadband to the internet. And ive created a WiFi Spot imma Nokia5800 and has activated it. So now the WiFi is on and working superbly. My iphne captures the WiFi and i can use skype , yahoo etc. exept Face book. I cant log in to Facebook thru the App nor thru safari :baffled:

    why do you wanna connect the 5800 to PC?
    try installing JoikuSpot on it and turn it into a wifi hotspot

    I can't tell exactly what would be wrong with your configuration in between your Nokia 5800 & pc. but as a solution for your wireless matter ,try joikuhot spot [ download url : http://www.joiku.com/products/joikuspot_light ] after you install it you can use ur mobile as an access point instead of using your laptop as a bridge/router.

    hope that would help you to sort out the facebook matter,fyi I use joikuspot to connect my ipod with the mobile via joikuspot.

    well. thats the s/w i use to activate WiFi. since my PC doesnt have a WiFi card i have to plug the 5800 and connect thru. If I just connect from the 5800 thru the service provider, U know how I will end it up. :D so i pluged my 5800 to the PC and did forward the broadband connection to the 5800 and thru Joikuspot i created a WiFi spot. So now I get free WiFi. And when i connect the ipod and turn on the WiFi, still it works. skype , yahoo , msn , itunes are working. but not FB :baffled: um pretty confused with that now :baffled: :dull:

    umm.. u mean i have to Install the specific s/w to the PC and make a WiFi spot ? :shocked: Din know such thing.. I connected 5800 all the way to connect via broadbrand internet :eek:

    this only can be done if you have wireless in you pc....
    and one thing I experienced is this virtual connection cannot connect into other phones laps...etc;
    but since you say you can never connect into internet through your I phone need to check the settings...
