Fuck critics! I never read about what critics says
Look at Duke Nukem Forever, game sucks/graphics sucks/play sucks so rated as shit by critics, I would rate it as shit by myself
But it's fun and funny dialog's, so I'm playing it

Same thing for Alice, as far as I saw game looks like part 1 even gameplay..Surely people who played the original will play this as well and probably Alice will have new fans like yourself as well

I would recommend to try AC 1 first, since ACR will be all about Altair Playing AC 1 will be a gud thing when you start to play ACR!
After AC1, go for the Ezio trilogy
