So you all might know that we have lost the vote

What will happen now? We are officially war criminals for the world (Atleast for those who voted yes). You can see some countries that we don't even know much about like Costa Rica, Djbouti (Does this even exist? :dull:), Peru ect have voted for the poll. I really doubt that these countries know a freaking thing about Sri Lanka and the war we had. I think this poll is stupid. Glad to see 15 countries including China & Thailand have voted for us. I think all the other countries are puppets of USA.

List of countries who voted for us

Feel free to talk about this. Your expert comments on this would be really helpful :)

Do not start a stupid fight! This is not the place to talk about Religion, Racism, Politics ect

It's true that we shouldn't care about India now. But the truth is, India is way powerful than us bro. I'm not saying we should get fucked up by India - but at least we shouldn't be angry with them.

Rather than blaming on other freaking countries or people, I think we should get ourselves ready to stand against this. As I can see, Mahinda Rajapaksha is the most known and still more people like him. He should understand that it's now the best time to stop all the corruption and start a revolution in Sri Lanka. Sounds difficult but as a country with all the prosperity, it's possible.

If you are doing something that Makes Sri Lanka worse, don't do it. Using Google or watching Indian movies don't make our Country. But cheating does.

bottom line is we cant survive on our own. our country is in debt and our economy is screwed. we cant afford to cut down our ties with the countries that voted against us because we need all the help we can get to survive. and the bitter truth is nothing is going to happen to USA and INDIA if we decide to stop our relationships with them. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN FROM US BUT WE HAVE ALOT TO LOSE.

Thanks for this great comment :) What you say is true. But I don't think India had any good reason to vote for USA. For me it's like they actually wanted to see Sri Lanka going down. Do we really have to have a friendship with a country who will stab on your back? Anyway, any idea what will happen loosing this vote?

We are not all lost here...! sure we lose the vote.. but this is a minor setback! we can work this thing around if we are too careful... however in security council we are safe cuz we have the veto power!

Its a diplomatic approach. I see nothing wrong in it. It not like we can persuade other countries like US or any other super power do. So maintaining such relationship is a must for a country like SL. Yes its pathetic, but politics is war without bloodshed and such measures as above are required when fighting this war.

LOL guys do u really think some army will come to SL and arrest the president? if anything the government is exaggerating this issue and taking advantage of it to divert the attention of people away from more pressing issues. the country is going down the drain

Yeah. They were pretending friends of Sri Lanka - bastards.
We can't fight with India for their up vote. Plus, nowadays Sri Lanka is likely depending on India, China and Russia. Getting angry with banks when we owe them is not a very good idea ;)

This LLRC Report made by SL appointing a presidential commission. here resolution says that there should be a proper time frame for implementing LLRC core suggestions. but i wonder whether SL government is accepting this LLRC report or not. our brave politicians shouted for nothing.........:)
