Things in our country run in spite of government, not by aid of it...Things ain't what they used to be and never were We will never have true civilization until we have learned to recognize the rights of others What the country needs is dirtier fingernails and cleaner minds When ignorance gets started it knows no bounds specially this rajapaksha regiment of bullies....no matter how clear sf is govt will hunt him down...and wont show no mercy...its just the beginning...When you put down the good things you ought to have done, and leave out the bad ones you did do well with the current situation Worrying over sf is like paying on a debt that may never come due..with this govt in sri lanka civilization don't advance... in every war they kill you in a new way... Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat If you ever injected truth into politics you have no politics thats the rear side which some ppl dsnt see...good example is what govt did to sf....If you make any money, the government shoves you in the creek once a year with it in your pockets, and all that don't get wet you can keep

dnt try to compare anything with other countries...our country is nowhere near them...our country is nt developed yet for us to compare with a developed country like america...i will give u a example you can make money in America, you can get rich in America … but whatever you decide to do, it better be positive, 'cause if one person is harmed, you will be destroyed. You see Oprah, she just be giving away money. She's doing that to keep the Feds off her back.

Oprah is rich, Bill Gates is wealthy. If Bill Gates woke up tommorow with Oprah's money, he'd jump out a window and slit his throat on the way down saying, "I can't even put gas in my plane!"

...i am thoroughly confused here....

sri lanka is NOT a capitalist country.........many of our farmers and poor depend on government run subsidiaries and "sathosha polla" community stores etc.....

yet....and there are MANY Oprah's here as well.....who used money on company trips...and vehicles...charities etc etc...

this is a standard in any country.....

and i am not comparing how wealthy a country is....or how developed we are....i am comparing how a country is run...given circumstances....

for example....if a defector of an enemy comes to the govt...there is a way to handle it....a protocol and president....

look dude....i admit lankan govt is corrupted....but EVERY country such corruption exists in one form or the other.....the fault is the mentality of the people....and how they deal with such corruption....

in America....big companies bleed its customers for everything they are worth....yet the American consumers do not care...they accept the situation as is and move on.....but they occasionally stage protests etc....to show the companies who is REALLY in charge....for example the recent protest against "GAP" company changing its logo....(developed country or not)

in sri lanka....people are not that broad minded....they never try to understand the big picture....keep jumping to conclusions....and easily complain....lankans never were doers.....only speakers....
