I never seen even a single verse in quran which says women are equal to dogs.so i don't agree..if u have so, provide the proof..if u cant prove so u are a liar and looser.

She was saying that women are not treated equal but treated worse. You know what she meant, don't go picking up on that. I believe you are better than that.

islam treats men how they should b treated and women for how they should.
men and women not same.!!

By the way It's interesting to see that you changed your idea in this matter. If I remember correctly sometime ago you mentioned that rules are same for men and women.

Islam is all about discrimination. Kuffars are dirty (even though Allah created them) and should be killed. where does Islam dosnt discriminate non-believers or people of the book? Islam is the mother of all racism and discrimination.

i know what she meant and asked her to post me some verses where she see discrimination.so i can see whether i should reply or not.

yes.i remember well i mentioned and thought its not necessary to mention the whole thing again.
i told that men and women are different.there are some rules to follow them equally.some only for men and some only for women.i dont think what i said earlier and this contradict.

    discrimination?
think if ur walking on a road the rules are different for u than for a person who drive.is this discrimination?

No. But in this case the rules are defined for the driver and passenger and when the the passenger takes the place of a driver same rules apply to them. Clearly you can see this scenario has nothing to do with discrimination nor driver and passenger can be compared to men and women.

    The definition from oxford dictionary.

the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race , age, or sex

If men are given superior treatment in the muslim society, that is discrimination based on gender against women.

yeah.i know.its just a example how the same person get to follow the different rules.like that men and women have same and different rules doesnt mean they are not equal!!
.coz some rules which are applicable for women but not for men as its not necessary.and there are some for men only like keeping beard, must go to mosque for the prayers.like that.
if in Islam tells men to pray only 3 times and women 5, this can call as discrimination but its not.

I understand that there are limits and same rules cannot be applied in some occasions. But I'm talking about unfair treatment in cases, where it is not necessary and where women are treated inferior to men and also where men are given certain rights and women are not. On this basis I say women are not treated equal. For an example Quran verse 4:34.

    Yusuf Ali

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly);but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

this is the sentence u mentioned and we have discussed about this many times here in ek.

Yes this is it. Please direct me to where you have discussed this? In the following thread I created, you did not continue the discussion after sometime and the status of women in Islam was well established in the end.
