I take it that is a joke :)

I read about the Hikka Party, and people being sent to jail for fabricating photos on the internet?

DOn't know what is true with that or not.

    ----

Regarding the other parts of the thread...I have Irish ethnicity...Ireland got colonized a lot more than anywhere else by the UK, still fighting going on there. But, anyways, neither Ireland or the U.S. colonized Sri Lanka...so no worries there
doesnt matter if you're from ireland or iceland, its the skin color he's against. You may come from the swiss alps and he'll still hate you.

    Yeah..But happens very rarely
So, speaking of which, were the photos from the HIKKA FEST 2009 real?

They are everywhere on the internet. But, than read a story about 4-5 guys who were trying to make it more bigger and crazier than it was?

Also, did they quit doing the festival for this year?

PS: People around Swiss alps are darker than the Irish I presume coz switzerland is in central Europe. Aren't I right Northstar?

Not too sure. I think people in the Switzerland can have either French, German, or Italian blood....as they have all three languages in Switzerland. Not sure if all that much darker, but they probably do tan.

But Irish ethnicity are so fare, we burn in the sun! Two shades, red and white. Not so much of the tanning. I'd assume most Swiss tan, and it seems Swiss (and Germans) are usually the ones in the speedos...lol

People with Irish ethnicity, generally aren't beach people. But, for me, I'd go to the beach if at a beach, just like go to wherever else, if that's where I'm at :)

If you really want to go on a trip to Sri Lanka, I'd suggest taking a map and going around the Island on foot, ie. with cash in your hand and going by bus or train which is quite an expierience (lifetime). Or at least that's something I would think I would have done were I a tourist.

You could start from Colombo and go south to Tissamaharamaya, where the Yala park is and fromthere northwards that should bring you to the mountain or hill range. EVentually you would visit Trincomalee and further North to Jafna.

But all these names are probably confusing for you. Either way it's not that big of a land, so even with relatively little planning I think that'd ought to bring you to all the worthwhile places in Sri Lanka.

Good luck and have a wonderful stay!!!! :)))
