    there was a global economic crisis some time back, and most countries are still recovering from it. so in a situation like that companies cut costs.     whats your resolution? if its less than 1900x1080..etc then go for a 512mb, 1GB would be a waste. and you can buy a 9600GT/9800... under 15K. there is a msi 9600GT in unity for 14K.
