The Journal of Chemical Physics rejected it (twice).

Anderson) submitted their groundbreaking 1966 paper on Fourier transform NMR to the Journal of Chemical Physics—the most prestigious journal in the field at the time. It was rejected twice. The paper was then sent to the Review of Scientific Instruments, where it was finally accepted and published. Rejections are in plenty. It's always quite hard to get something published in a peer reviewed journal. Even the paper on Laser was rejected (1960).
