    According to Internet, BYDs usually don't shift to N after a crash. In severe cases, car will shutdown. Either way something is very wrong here.

    I do suspect that something is wrong with the car unless the driver is having a seizure or something. This dash cam video is from the car that hit and killed 3 people. It happened right after he took the car out from his garage.

    FYI, 1500 petrol engine for Corolla discontinued from May 2025 in Japan. Only 1800 hybrid is offered now. There's a speculation that Toyota might replace the car with a new model for 2027.
