[HEADING=2]SLTTC transforms into ‘SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute of Technology’[/HEADING] January 31, 2024 1:05 am 0 comment SLT CEO Janaka Abeysinghe and SLT-MOBITEL Senior Management and other officials at the launch. SLT Training Centre (SLTTC), the education arm of SLT-MOBITEL, has transformed into the ‘SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute of Technology’, providing students with a greater competitive edge in becoming future-ready IT and engineering professionals while bolstering the country’s training and educational sector. The unveiling of the new brand resonates with the theme ‘where stars are born’, providing students with unparalleled opportunities to develop technology and design solutions that tackle global engineering challenges. The launch was held recently, with SLT CEO Janaka Abeysinghe and SLT-MOBITEL Senior Management also in attendance, together with lecturers, students, and invitees. For over20 years, the SLTTC has proven its strength in the higher education sector of the country by opening doors for students to gain knowledge in the main study streams such as engineering, digital technologies, and vocational education andproviding a platform to pursue NVQ technician certificates. SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute continues this legacy, strengthening the partnerships previously forged with world-class qualifying bodies, including international universities, the University of Hertfordshire, UK, Pearson (UK), and local institutes such as the Tertiary Vocational Education Centre (TVEC). SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute of Technology will enable high-quality training courses that go beyond theoretical knowledge, imparting vital practical skills through real-life experiences in the field of ICT. The Nebula Institute offers three convenient locations – Welisara, Moratuwa and Kandy. Importantly, SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute offers a B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, a B.Eng. (Hons) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and aB.Sc. (Hons) in Data Science in affiliation with the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Additionally, Nebula is an ‘A’ grade centre for conducting the Pearson BTEC Level 5 HNDs. The Pearson BTEC Level 05 HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, SLT-MOBITEL Nebula Institute of Technology, is the one and only private institute offering NVQ Level 06 equivalent qualification for Pearson BTEC Level 05 HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Further students can fast track their careers after O/L’s by enrolling in the Pearson BTEC International Level 03 Foundation Diploma in Engineering and direct pathway to the University of Hertfordshire UK program or direct entry to the HND in the BTEC Level 05 Electrical & Electronic Engineering Programme. Upon the completion of these pre-degree diploma and degree programme courses, students will receive training opportunities in addition to a well-designed six-month in-plant training programme at SLT-MOBITEL. - https://www.dailynews.lk/2024/01/31/business/373191/slttc-transforms-into-slt-mobitel-nebula-institute-of-technology/
