Modern politics is based upon economic power, friendship between nations and etc, Fonseka need time to get political experience.Eg -can Fonseka become a Director of a bank even without any political support ?If Fonseka apply for that job directly, he will never get that , just because he has 40 years of military experience.He hasnt suitable education and suitable experience for a bank. Even he gets he will never perform well with that job.Doing a job as a president is something very big and difficult, not like a director of company or any, so 100% need some experience. I dont underestimate Fonseka, he is a good man, but if  he need to be the president, he may gain some experience in the related field, at least 5-10 and come. He has time for that. As you said, many people in SL want to stick to the system that they are used to be (( . But when choosing a president, people should be intelligent.</blockquote>
