Because including you many people doesn't won't it to change. Is it so hard to trust a man from your own class than a person that came to politics because their father's did. That's how the system works. The son comes along to take over once his father leaves the post.  Do you really think men from political dynasties really care about the common man?  Do you think they understand even a bit about what the normal sri lankan goes through to win his bread & butter?These kind of politicians will not allow the system to change.No I can't guarantee that he will solve everything. But why are you so afraid to give him a chance? Because he's a commoner? Maybe 2500 years of feudalism must have hardwired the brains of our people to follow the descendants of the so called nobles or "Walaw" class. Can you tell me why mahinda is suitable for presidency? The laws and theories of politics hasn't changed much since the time of Aristotle and Pluto. For example the so called democracy was first adopted in Greece & it still lives. Surely it has changed much during the years. But the main idea is the same. You can't compare music & clothes to politics can you?There are many incidents in the world where people came to power without any prior political experience and still made their rule a success. If you think I'm lying you can research it. You would say it won't apply to Fonseka. So I'm not going to take time to give examples to you.Can you please tell me why mahinda is a good president? The only good thing he did was to let the war happen. That's all. He failed our country economically and in the international political arena. Can you deny these claims? Can you tell me if our people are living an easy life now days? Can you tell me that the price of living isn't going up? Can you tell me that freedom of speech isn't affected by his rule? </blockquote>
