The alphabet is just 26 letters. More easier than sinhala alphabet. Problem for most people is speaking.In universities students are expected to give presentation. This is to assess students' knowledge on learned course. But what really happening is student who is well verse in English give better presentation using their fluency while another student who has limited vocabulary struggles. May be that student has a better knowledge about the subject but his communication ability restricts it. At the end student with better English ability get good marks. This is same with job interviews. Since childhood we force ourselves to learn a foreign language for better career prospects. I think it's unfair. For a person borned in a developed country knowing their mother tongue is enough to have a good life.</blockquote>
