What we have in our corporate culture is totally messed up.  We need a language to communicate. When you can express an idea more precisely and accurately in your mother tongue, forcing yourself to speak in English hinders that communication process. You have to narrow down the whole idea to limited vocabulary you know.  Not everyone has the same ability to learn new languages. Some people are born with it and some are not. But still they can be better at performing what they do irrespective of their ability to speak in English. An accountant, Programmer etc Filtering out these people based on their ability to speak in English and the way they impress the interviewers is totally stupid. The company just looses a valuable man power. Sinhalese is a much more enriched language while English is just a breakdown of German. We have limited our ability to think and everything is messed up.</blockquote>
