I have gone to moto show at BMICH last weekend and i have got a call saying same senario. then i just find in net and found these details and thought to share with u.
Dear All. Pls pass this to every one you know and save their time and money.
Few weeks ago I was shopping at a Super Market with my family.
Once we completed shopping we came out from the supper market and disturbed by couple of boys.
Very politely they handed over me a coupon and ask me to fill the details (Pls find attached coupon).
In this coupon, they mentioned " Win 2 nights 3 days holiday package at our holiday bungalow free".
It took few seconds me to fill below questions.
1) Full Name
2) Occupation
3) Phone number
Then they took the questioner and handed over me the attached leaflet.
Few days latter I have received a call from this company and said " Congratulations sir. You have won the raffle draw. Pls come to our office and collect your gift. Don't forget to come with your family".
I was very happy to win " 2 nights 3 days holiday package" and cancelled few important appointments and visited their office with my family on given date.
When we visited their office, which is at 7/103, Galle Rd, Col-03 we have noticed more than 20 families have come to collect their gift.
Then they started their mission.
One young officer has taken over me and my family and directed to a table.
He started explaining about his company (Need Wood Estate) for 10-15 minutes and introduced their new business.
He said the company is going to cultivate Teak project at Putlam and asked us to invest for 10 perch land.
Forcing part started at this point.
10 Perch land with 20 Teak Trees is cost something around(What I can remember) Rs. 285,000.00 (This project is same as the other Teak growers do- Eg: Touchwood)
If we purchase it on the table they were willing to give us few offers. (Small discount/ Ownership of the land/Free holiday package at their bungalow…)
We were unable to take a decision at that instant as we have gone to collect our holiday gift.
After wasting of about one and half hours we left with a small gift (Tea pack which is worth Rs. 150.00).
Points to think
1) They have cheated us from the beginning.
2) Took our interest for their marketing presentation by offering " Free Holiday Package"
3) Wasted my week-end "Time".
4) Wasted my family week-end "Time"
5) Wasted my Fuel
6) Gave Rs. 150 worth tea pack instead of "Free Holiday Package"
Pls pass this e-mail to every-one you know and save their voluble time. If possible pass this to Government Officers who can take legal actions against these kind of "deceive Marketers'".
