Normal price of a room was around 40k in late 90s and any person would know that only a fraction of that was the actual cost. They can offer to locals at reduce rates , rather than closing it.This was a hotel that sparked lot of protests from then opposition (SLFP , JVP ect) including Ven Priest of Dambulla temple) Where have all the protests gone? What was the objection?What are the lessons we can learn form this.</blockquote>
