Since buddha has used the same available language/words to interpret deep phenomena and most people take the superficial meaning of the words and interpret their own. You will need to study and understand what are these extremes and why the buddhism does not fall amoung  them.In a nutshell what buddha showed was a problem in our perception of our sensory system. He showed a method to develop and go beyond this sensory system to understand the problem of this system.Science and most of the other (that i know) religions are based on our wrong sensory system. You cant never check if the outside is green or not with green glassed on you. You need to look beyond those glasses. Somethin beyond your sensory system. Thats what buddha showed.</blockquote>
