Those large scale rice packet guys have normal rice and curry, and fried rice. Fried rice is the remaining normal rice and remaining fish etc kept in friedge and fried next day. They sometimes coat it with flour and biscuit crumbs to make it look special too. Those roadside guys along Bambalapitiya and Kollupitiya are a good example. It's not confined to rice. Those Durian sellers with just a few fruits by the road especially in the upcountry, they say it's the fallen fruits from the garden but actually they're selling a whole saler's stock. When those few fruits are sold they get a few more delivered. The advanced version? Some guys walk up and down the road with a few fruits, that's "going to sell a few fruits from the garden." Lol.
