Many civil society groups had appealed to him to safeguard democracy and stop instability from gripping the country."I could not turn my back to these appeals," he said.Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said President was expected to recall parliament by November 07.Meanwhile UPFAs Nimal Siripala de Silva, told reporters that Mahinda Rajapaksa also had a majority. Some have already come and others may come in the coming days, he said.
