Publishing an advertisement in the newspapers on March 14, the Central Bank has stated that Treasury Bills will be issued to raise a loan of Rs. 9000 million.The government has to raise funds through loans due to the severe financial crisis faced by the government. The Treasury Bonds have been issued according to financial regulations. Accordingly, loans will be obtained from local and foreign commercial banks. These loans are on high interest payments. These Treasury Bills have been issued on the agreement of repaying the loans with the interest in 90 days, 180 days and 360 days. A senior Central Bank official said that by obtaining such short term loans, the country would be further entangled in the debt trap.</blockquote>
