So ill simply ask, Are you going to repatriate the Iranian personnel back to Iran or are you  going to keep them. give an yes or no answer" කියලා. අන්න ඒකටයි ඒ audience එක හිනා වෙන්නෙ. එයාල හිනාවෙන්නෙ Minister උත්තරේ දෙන්නත් කලින්. මොකද thats not an statement you can give" yes and no" answer in a sensitive political context like this. එයාල හිනාවෙන්නෙ ඒ නිවේදිකාවට මිසක් විජිතට ඉංග්‍රීසි බැරි එකට නෙවෙයි. And the way he handle that uncomfortable situation, he was intentionally put in, is by satirical laughing and "re iterate" ( Thats the word he use not ඉන්ටනැසනල් ) to re emphasize what he already said and strategically avoid giving an answer. And the audience actually clap for how smart he was to avoid it. So he basically made a fool out of himself instead of giving a problematic statement which could be dangerous to our country. ඉතින් අපේ එවුන්ට  ඉංග්‍රීසි බෑ කියලා හරි අමාරුයි. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🙂" title="Slightly smiling face    :slight_smile:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" data-shortname=":slight_smile:" /><img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🙏" title="Folded hands    :pray:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f64f.png" data-shortname=":pray:" /> මේක ලියන්නෙ විජිත හේරත් සුද්ද කරන්න නෙවෙයි, මොකද මට මේකෙ political soundness එක ගැන මොකුත් opinion එකක් දෙන්න qualified නෑ. මේ post එකේ තියෙන headline එක නිසා.ඒත් මේ ලංකාවේ අය හිතන් ඉන්නවා ඉංග්‍රීසි හරි ලොකු දෙයක් කියලා. එහෙම නෑ. එයාල තමන්ගේ worth එක විතරක් නෙවෙයි අනිත් අයගෙ entire worth එක, leadership, එක quality එක මනින්නෙ ඒකෙන්. මට අනුව නම් ඒක මහ colonial යුගයේ පහත් මානසිකත්වයක්. එහෙම ඉංග්‍රීසි කතා කරා කියලා ඔයා ලොකු වැඩ්ඩෙක් වෙන්නෙ නෑ. ඉංග්‍රීසි කතා කරේ නෑ කියල කවුරුත් අඩුකුලේ වගේ scene එකක් වෙන්නෙත් නෑ. මේ සිද්දියෙන් පේන්නෙත් අන්න ඒ අමුතු හීනමානය. අපි හරිනම් ලැජ්ජා වෙන්න ඕනේ ඒ ගැන -.... . තමන්ගේ native නොවන භාෂාවක් කතා කරන කොට,tense situation එකක ඉන්නකොට වචනයක් දෙකක් පැටලෙන්න පුලුවන්. ඒක මහලොකු case එකක් නෙවෙයි. මේ ලගදි මම seminar එක්කට ගියා related to something in my field. Keynote speaker scotish එක්කෙනෙක්. මට මෙලෝ දෙයක් තේරුනේ නෑ. Accent එක තේරෙන්නෙම නෑ. එහෙමයි කියල කවුරුත් හිනා උනේ  නෑ. මොකද ඒ මනුස්සයාට specialist කෙනෙක් වෙන්න ඒක බාදාවක් වෙලා නෑ.මගේ නම් Experience එක අනුව - ඉංග්‍රීසි බෑ කියල අපිට හිනා උනොත් හිනා වෙන්නෙ ලංකාවෙ ඉපදුන ඉංග්‍රීසි බැරි කෙනෙක්ම තමයි.
