For example: Bird sound is the rupa (shabda-rupa or sound-from) not the bird itself.What I understand from the anicca sanna sutta: The audience of this sutta is the asruthawat prutagjana sharavaka. The rupa/vedana...... for them is the pancha-upadhana skandayaya. So the rupa mentioned here is rupa-upadhana skandhaya. Looking the aniccha dukka anatta of the pancha upadhana skandaya is the way need to be done. It also matches with all the other suttas perfectly.
