The question of how our prosperity and luxury is justified in view of this has occupied me for a long time, but today I have a different view on it: not all the evils in the world are the fault of the "West". Chemical photography was a bit more complicated than today, my EOS 5D only gets into this graininess/noise range at ISO 6400.
