But he was made an accused for obstruction of public duty which even Magistrate cant charge as it needed consent of AG. In any even this charge cannot be maintained.We are a nation that does not respect the rule of law.Champika's case is given to the judge who prosecuted Mr. Sarath Fonseka. He got a military ranking and joined judiciary , another first in Sri Lanka. He was very close to GR as he was under him MOD as Brigadier of Army. So justice should not only be done but it must seem to be done too.Can we expect fair hearing ?I do not know Champika had done a wrong. He was never an honest person as Universtiy student leader. Same as AKD.  Number one opportunist and would even  join the devil to oppose govt in power , But justice should be done even to a worst person impartially. If that is lacking we do not have an effective govt.</blockquote>
