They criticized MCC. And a few weeks back I saw JVP posters demanding salary hike. They even fail to demand for the right solution.2), 4) - yeah absence of negatives. BTW I have a lesser number of ducks in ODI than Sanath.( Before becoming president MR also had no previous evidence of nepotism)3- Agree5- This is a  totally irrational statement that makes me quite mad. One who rose from it and survived because of it wont change anything.BTW my challenge still stands .Give 5 positives without the absence of negatives.<hr />First of all GDP is not just products it includes the service sector as well.How an expressway affects the economy. The development of transport infrastructure has a major beneficial effect on the economy. It will reduce the transport expenses as well as time and because distant towns are connected to bigger cities there is spillover effect as well. In the case of southern expressway due to reduced congestion of Galle rd and more fuel economy of driving express way probably have saved billions of rupees. It alone justifies it. Furthermore it has encouraged the industrialization of southern provinces. I don't think companies like Ewis would have built factories in Hambanthota if not for the expressway. I can go on.But I think you get the point. QUestioning the necessity of an expressway is a good example of the outdated thinking pattern of JVP.I agree with the point on corruption but the criticism should be directed to corruption, not on the concept of the expressway. I welcome you to propose a better project with better cost-effectiveness. Maththala air port is a useless project but not the expressway. I value my time better than to watch some SL politician babbling on a fantasy for a few hours.
