But according to what i know, when you are following "pansil", just avoiding doing those restricted things is not enough. for example, you should not kill animals, in the same time you should not encourage another person to do it either. Buying meat from the market is also an encouragement for those people who are involved in killing animals and selling them. Thats how this concepts has been derived which says that you should not eat meat. Even devdath thero's list of suggestions has a part saying that a monk should not eat meat during his whole life time and lord buddha has denied it right ?
