Buddhism not converting any one by paying money or giving something... its spread only because of its scientific reality
In America:
The charts of wikipedia shows the 20 religions with the highest growth rates from 1990 to 2001. Most are non-Christian religions, with a pagan religion, Wiccan, having the highest growth rate (1,575%!). The top 20 growing religions present mostly a mix of New Age, Evangelical Christian, and Eastern religions. The growth of the nonreligious/secular group is also in the top 20 (110% growth between 1990 and 2001).
Then:
The Australian Bureau of statistics claims Buddhism to be the fastest growing religion in Australia in terms of percentage gain with a growth of 79.1% for the period 1996 to 2001 (200,000→358,000).
And:
In 2005, In Glasgow, according to figures from the 2001 census, and reported by The Independent, the number of people describing themselves as Buddhist has soared by 28.5 per cent.
The growing number means there are nearly 1,200 Buddhists in the city - more than the declining Jewish community, and only slightly fewer than the number of Hindus.
The census also reveals that Buddhism is more popular than Sikhism or Judaism in Wales, and lags only 0.2 per cent behind Judaism in England. In Westminster in central London, 1 per cent considers itself Buddhist, a figure matched in Cambridge.
And:
Statistics Canada lists 163,415 Buddhists in the last enumeration - 1991, but this number has doubled in the last decade. It is possible to assume that there are at least about five hundred thousand devotees out of a total national population of thirty million.
A recent survey of country-wide Buddhist institutions discovered nearly thousand Buddhist temples, centers, libraries and meditation groups in Canada's ten provinces and two territories. Ontario has the largest concentration of Buddhist groups followed by British Columbia and Quebec.

So it would be safe to say that Buhhish is ONE of the fastest growing religions today.
