Stray animals are  frequently the victims of road traffic accidents, often not being killed  instantly, but suffering alone, for days, months or even years in  absolute agony ! Animal SOS Sri Lanka provides treatment for many  street animals, as well as the 450 dogs and cats already residing at our  sanctuary. We are often the only lifeline for many desperately sick and  injured dogs and cats. We value the life of every animal and want  to give them the best chance of survival. A quick diagnosis -  particularly with road traffic injuries - can make the difference  between life and death. This is why we desperately need your help to raise funds for an x-ray machine. Having an x-ray machine will greatly improve the level of care we  provide for these animals. It will help us make an accurate diagnosis,  facilitating a prompt and correct treatment.
