These previous  codecs/media players actually installed malware on a users’ computer,  and they were advertised in the same manner as X3Player (meaning when  trying to play a fake .avi file you could only play a few seconds, as  the rest was “unlockable” only by downloading their malware codec).  However, if you went ahead and paid to obtain this player, you should  immediately download an anti-spyware program such as <a href="http://www.software112.com/products/spybot-search-and-destroy.html" target="_blank">Spybot  Search and Destroy</a> or <a href="http://www.software112.com/products/superantispyware.html" target="_blank">SUPERAntiSpyware</a>  and scan your computer for possible malware infections. If you gave  your credit card information on play.x3player.com, you should verify if  other unauthorized charges  show up on your credit card, and if so take  action.  There are plenty other free (and reliable) media players out there,  that come with preinstalled codec packages and by using those you won’t  have any problems playing an .avi file, so there’s no need to continue  your quest on finding a cracked version of X3Player (or X3 Player).
