It is the true nature of a war. <strong>I believe the first casuality of a war is humanity</strong>. This <strong>has happened</strong> in <strong>Vietnam, Iraq, Ethiyopia, Uganda, Chechniya, you name it</strong>. USA, UK and all these super powers have blood in their hands. What else do you expect from soldiers who were trained to kill adding the emotional and <strong>psychalogical trauma</strong> they underwent seeing their collegues get killed before their eyes?</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size: 15px">The goverment of Sri Lanka should realize the true nature of <strong>International politics</strong> and to act accordingly. It is no doubt Sri Lanka is <strong>no super power</strong> compared to west and therefore the probability of International pressure on implementing <strong>International Law</strong> in the country is definitely high. I am proud of the way <strong>Dr. Rajiv Wijesingha</strong> responded to the Al Jazeera concluding <strong>"Sri Lanka will Absolutely not allow an International inquiry"</strong>. We need more people like him in this critical time. What i believe is the best thing the government of Sri Lanka should do is to have their <strong>own inquiry</strong> into this matter with <strong>transparency</strong> and bring the <strong>perpetrators</strong> before <strong>law</strong>.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size: 15px">The <strong>differnce</strong> between Sri Lanka and other countries is all the other countries atleast conducted inside inquiries and punished those who were found guilty irrespective of their <strong>nationality</strong> (Except for the World War II). <strong>Frogs</strong> in the <strong>well</strong> may not know, but there are <strong>millions</strong> of <strong>Americans</strong> who protest <strong>against the US</strong> involvement in <strong>Iraq</strong> and <strong>Afghanistan</strong>, and everywhere it is the same scenario. If you use internet other than porn you will find them. One thing some people here in Sri Lanka (I see many in <strong>Elakiri</strong> who are <strong>self proclaimed Patriots</strong>) should realize is that there can be people who decide not to support either LTTE or Sri Lankan Government.
