Worshiping a statue may be out of line, but there's nothing wrong to build and keep Buddha statues in a country. And worshiping statues doesn't mean people just worship the statues. They recall Buddha darma by looking at statues, and it's kinda paying some respect to Buddha dharma without expecting benefits back. So there's a clear difference between worshiping a Buddha statue and worshiping trees kinda things expecting something in return.</blockquote>
