The additional allocation is revealed in the mid year report issues by the Ministry of Finance.As such, the daily expenses of the President which was Rs.23,477,178  goes up to Rs. 24,426,395.Once Minister Bandula Gunawardene, a former tuition master of Economics estimated that a family of four could live for a month with Rs.2500 and statistics show 40% of the population in Sri Lanka earns less than US$2 for a day.</blockquote>
