There are no banking charges for minimum balance. I used to get banking statements to SL for more than 10 years when account balance was zero.They issue credit and debit card free of charge and if you lost no additional charges are made.In sl they charge even for withdrawals from atm(this was first started by Commercial Bank- so called no 1 bank in sl, but now most of the banks do charge a fee even when you withdraw from their own atm machines. Banks make millions of profits due to this fraudulent means. The customers of the banks are silent and no banking supervision is done by Central Bank or consumer authority on these issues.Is it time for social media to take them to task.I had a similar experience last December also at BoC. It was not for me but to an innocent poor lady. I was very upset the way they spoke to this elderly person. She ask why her account was closed, and said she had money in it. This is how state banks make profits .Where is the social responsibility!(CSR)- Not even heard about it, but read their annual reports how they help the poor.....all hypocrisy.</blockquote>
