Palaniyappan, Chief Executive and Managing Director of the Yeswi Industries, an Indian subsidiary of the German firm Voith in Heidenheim, Germany arrived in Colombo on October 5 to devise plans towards reviving the two paper factories at Valachchenai and Embilipitiya under closure.At a time when the Yahapalana Government led by President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is striving to usher in an industrial renaissance, the Indian team has arrived to assist the investors who proposed to restructure the two factories on the initiative of Industries and Commerce Minister Risad Badhiutheen and State Minister Champika Premadasa.The investors hope to revive the two paper factories under a Korean grant of 20 million US dollars. The two factories would provide 1,000 new jobs. The Indian team will visit the two dormant factories on an observation tour and submit a detailed report during their five-day stay.</blockquote>
