On the other hand KIS is heavy on the CPU. Yet, KIS never fails its functions if it runs out of resources. But BD, as soon as its vsserv.exe doesn't have enough RAM to handle its operation, crashes taking down the firewall and realtime protection with it <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/no.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":no:" title="No    :no:" data-shortname=":no:" />. 2012 version felt a bit lagging too, but maybe because I only have 2gigs of RAM only. Norton has become a very dependable programme - experts say. I cannot relate to this as I have not used any Norton package before its 2011 version. But I can tell that 2011 has a lot to offer. It never crashes and is quite low on hogging resources too. Installs in less than a minute although uninstalling takes up a bit time. That's not much of a problem, is it now? <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" />One thing I noticed about KIS is that it starts to use up a lot of CPU when network activity goes up. For example if you're downloading at a rate of 30Mbps. I noticed this only once, the next time I was on Norton'11. Currently I'm on KIS2011. My suggestion is, go for Norton 2011/Norton 2012 or KIS. But never be on the same antivirus for too long. Change at least once 6 months. I read that somewhere <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/happy.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":)" title="Happy    :)" data-shortname=":)" />. If you want to see more about antivirus ratings visit the website of PCMAG. Just google it, you'll find the site without much trouble. Top10Reviews also has ratings,  but I feel that is biased. Not sure though.Comodo is the only package (couldn't find anything else that does) that offers a fully functioning firewall, real time protection scheme along with all the functions that a virus guard should have, FOR FREE. It's running on my sis' PC, but gave some problems when running PSCAD simulations. AdAware 2011 is also good - runs on my desktop.
