Its cricket after all. Its a remarkable affect to win 4-1 with such a young side. not to mention that being 4 for 100 odd and coming back and getting 330 was a superb affect in the final ODI. Mitch Marsh had his maiden ODI century something which no one expected as he has done next to nothing in recent past. Its just they had a poor outing in the field. Its not the first time Aussies dropped such amount of catches and won't be the last time either. doesn't help the cause when Finch get a bad decision while batting and Dhoni wasn't given out for something he should have been given out. all in all it I don't think the intent wasn't there. if Pandey got out in the final over its sure Aussies game. They just couldn't get over the line.
