M. Son of the Century (Italian: M. Il figlio del secolo) is an upcoming historical drama television series directed by Joe Wright, based on the novel of the same name by Antonio Scurati. The series centers on the early political career of Benito Mussolini in the 1920s. It will premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival and will be aired on Sky Atlantic in 2025.
Synopsis
M. Son of the Century, based on the first of a series of historical novels by Antonio Scurati on the life of Mussolini, tells the story of Mussolini’s rise, from 1919, when he founded his extreme fascist organization Italian Fasces of Combat, through the kidnapping and murder in 1924 of one of his main political opponents.
