They never have, and never will. The term Christ means Messiah, the definition of Messiah is not God, and the Jews who were awaiting their Messiah did not believe the Messiah would be God: </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The predominant Jewish understanding of moshiach ("the messiah") is based on the writings of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides" target="_blank"><span style="color: #461a00">Maimonides</span></a>, (the Rambam).
