By the evening today,(09) 106 bodies of the LTTE cadres were recovered. There was a dead body of a LTTE leader suspected to belong to Lawrence, unconfirmed reports said adding that the body would be identified tomorrow. Over 200 LTTE cadres were killed in three days of fighting. The Army did not disclose the number of casualties. 268 T-56 rifles have been recovered do far following the battle. Ground reports say that after the Black Tiger suicide cadres fought first, the sarong clad 'Makkal Padai' fighters came to the battle. These are the civilians that were given training by the LTTE during the past period.  Troops also found eighteen Rocket Propeller Grenades (RPGs), ten Multi Purpose Machine Guns (MPMG), six 60 mm mortars, two 12.7mm anti aircraft guns, two Light Machine Guns (LMG), one 40 mm grenade launcher, one 9 mm pistol, one M 91 sniper gun, seven I-com sets and one compass from the area. Photos display the dead LTTE Black Tigers and the recovered arms and amm  <a href="http://www.lankaenews.com" target="_blank">www.lankaenews.com</a></blockquote>
