He observed that the government needs to tell the country if a 13 Plus  political solution would be given to solve the North and East problem.   He noted that although the country was facing a serious situation before  the international community, the government has failed to make its  stance clear on the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and  Reconciliation Commission (LLRC). "In the government Ministers Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Prof. Tissa Vitharana  and D.E.W. Gunasekera say the LLRC recommendations need to be  implemented while Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Patali Champika  Ranawaka and Wimal Weerawansa hold a contradictory view," Fernando said. He pointed out that the country cannot truly celebrate peace until the  government comes up with a national plan and policy together with all  political parties, ethnic groups and religious leaders in the country.
