We are proud to say that Sri Lanka managed to grab the third position, despite the heavy loss happened in Asian Games. Gold - 49 Silver - 63 Bronze - 75 Total 187 : 16th Asia Masters Athletics Championships : Bukit Jalil Stadium : 6th – 12th December 2010 : 2,500 delegates : 24 Countries [IMG][/IMG] More News: http://www.wsl.com.my/master2010/result/bm/cm/MedalsTally.aspx?sname=SUKAN%20MALAYSIA%202010&category=All http://www.asianoverland.com.my/index.php/year-2010/125-16th-asia-masters-athletics-championships The most important news in this is that they are elders who are above 35 and up to 100 years of ages. Our Elders athlete is 84 years old. From our country no one supports them and no one bother that these elders are here to participate and win. Even they are here with their own expenses but still they are taken Sri Lanka into a proud situation whereby only India and Japan above them in medal tally. When some of these master athletes are here they didn't know where to stay and where to go without any proper officials support from our country. But still Sri Lankan Temples provided accommodation to them and looked after them. Since these people participated to the event and brought proud to the country appreciation night organized by Sri Lankan Expats and provided with little happy time in Brickfields buddhist maha vihara. I'm not sure when they return to Sri Lanka starting from today, will it be there anyone from sports main bodies to welcome them in BIA. Even our country didn't provide a track bottom or any facility to them. But yet they won 49 Golds, 63 Silver, 75 Bronze with Total of 187 Medals. If anyone who knows and can take this news allover and make as eyeopener at least the youngsters will get to know what old people still has in their heart and defeat.
