Kulatunga were later treated at  the Matale hospital. He added that the incident took place opposite the Rock House Hotel in Matale.The police later arrested the suspect and released him on bail."This should never have never been the case, since the victims were still in hospital", Mr. Aluvihare said.In a separate incident earlier today an independent candidate was  attacked at Kotte and had to seek treatment at the Colombo National  Hospital. The victim-Chandima Nayanajith later alleged that those who carried out the attack were supporters from the UNP.ST</blockquote>
