The 85th Academy Awards ceremony (referred to as The Oscars) took place February 24, 2013. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented its annual Academy Awards to honor the best films of 2012 that played in the United States. The ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California. It was the most watched ceremony since the 76th Academy Awards in 2004, with 42.40 million viewers.
