Either when  the gas pedal is floored or manually by a button near the driver. Some  fun street terms of turning it on are, 'flip the switch', 'hit the  button' and 'running juice'.                                The movie is full of fast cars souped up with  superchargers and/or turbochargers. Some are even turbocharged with  Nitrous injected as well, for the ultimate boost when they 'flip the  switch'. This one is our favorite from the original "The fast and the  furious".
