Muslim youths who travel from Wellawatta, Bambalapitiya and Kollupitiya to Colombo Kotta to board the train consider this as their right.The youths, however, respond with their anger, without showing any merit for the women or against their rights. I confirm this regarding the incident that took place at Maradana Railway Station on 26th November 2024 at 7.11 pm. At that time, an elderly man was trying to board the train, when a Muslim youth was locking the train door.During this sudden incident, the elderly man asked the youth for space to enter the train and asked, "Why are you blocking me from entering here?" The youth then said, "How can we move to the side, there is no space to enter." But the elderly man pushed him away, gave others a chance and helped them enter the train.During this incident, the youth continued to talk to others in a violent manner, saying, "You should not come again." He gathered with other Muslim youths and harassed the elderly man with harsh words.Although this youth was ready to do that violence to the elderly man, the elderly man calmly dealt with him. This made me angry. In this incident, the elderly man is a teacher I know at the University of Colombo.All of this is to express the true feelings of the youth, against the actions of those who are contradictory, obstructive, or empty.</blockquote>
